Jack vs Carl…. One-on-One

by Carl - posted Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Ok. We know, the Knicks stink: a 20-55 record with just 7 games to go.

But just because the remaining Knicks games are meaningless doesn’t mean there isn’t important basketball to be played!

The most crucial game of the season is coming up: Jack and Carl going one-on-one for Knickscast bragging rights. We’re excited, and here’s a video to get you pumped up too…

The headsets have come off and its time to throw down! It’s Jack vs Carl, one-on-one for the Knickscast basketball crown!

On episode #14 of Knickscast, I challenged Jack to a little game of 1-on-1 hoops, and he didn’t back down. The game is tentatively scheduled for sometime in the next two weeks, so let the hype and trash talking begin!

First, its time for you to weigh-in… who do you think will win the game?

O-No!

by Carl - posted Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

The Knicks go 0 for 5 on their West Coast road trip after dropping their get-away game to the lowly Sonics.

NY shoots 29% from the floor, 61% from the line, and is out-rebounded 55-34.  For all their effort, and for three fourth quarter leads, the Knicks come up with a donut.  It’s going to be a long plane ride home.

Knickscast Goes International

by Carl - posted Friday, February 1st, 2008

Knicks nation spreads wider than we thought!  Click on the listener map on the right side of the homepage and you’ll see what I mean.  We’ve got fans tuning in from New Jersey to Munich, from Down Under to London, and of course New Yorkers just a subway ride away.  You can register yourself on the map as well!
On the latest edition of Knickscast we give a shout-out to the folks overseas (drop us a line back: 347-410-9093 or hosts@knickscast.com) and we bring on Mike Dougherty of The Journal News to break down the Knicks’ West Coast conundrum.

Plus, we discuss Magic Johnson’s not-so-magical Knickerbocker prediction.  Download, listen, and enjoy.

A Win’s a Win…

by Carl - posted Saturday, January 26th, 2008

…even when it comes against the lowly Sixers. Remember that awful stretch in December when the Knicks lost back-to-back games against Philly? Tonight’s 89-81 win helps put those debacles in the rear-view mirror. Z-Bo had a strong night with 16 points and 15 boards.

Interesting note: with Fred Jones out with the flu, Mardy Collins got the start. Also, Crawford played another 44 minutes tonight. Isiah needs to be careful about over-extending him.

Next up: a trip to Golden State (no, there is no city named Golden State, they’re actually going to Oakland.) You’ll hear from Jack and I after that one.
